Privacy
A factual description, not a drafted policy.
Below is exactly what the current software stores. It is not a privacy policy: a compliant one, covering CCPA and CPRA obligations, retention periods, deletion rights, processors and the handling of identity documents, needs to be drafted by counsel before launch.
What is stored today
Account details
Name, email address, an optional phone number, and a bcrypt hash of your password. The password itself is never stored.
Bookings
The vehicle, the window, the quoted price and its provider/platform split, any note you write, and a delivery address if you request delivery. Price is snapshotted so a booking's terms never change retroactively.
Messages
Both the version the other party sees and the original text as typed. The original is retained so that a human can review messages the contact filter flags. Platform administrators can read flagged messages.
Provider information
For providers: business name, location, insurance carrier and policy reference as supplied, and claimed fleet size. Business details and reviews appear publicly on listing pages.
Session
A signed, HTTP-only session cookie holding your user ID and role. It is not readable by JavaScript and carries no personal data beyond that identifier.
What is not collected
- No analytics, advertising or third-party tracking is installed.
- No payment card data is collected, because payments are not live.
- No identity documents are uploaded or stored; verification is currently manual and off-platform.
- Email is not sent by the platform, so no email delivery processor holds your data.
